If you are looking to buy a home under an affordable housing or similar scheme, at Fosters Law, we understand that this comes with a certain amount of risk. Problems can arise that prevent the transaction proceeding, e.g. poor survey results, or sadly sometimes people simply change their mind. In such circumstances, you may end up paying legal costs, survey fees or other expenses.
We also appreciate that costs can escalate, causing worry and stress.
Consequently to help you, we will offer everyone purchasing through an Affordable, Social or Housing Association scheme, conveyancing for a fixed fee of £445. We will also offer you a ‘No Buy, No Fee Guarantee’. This means that if your sale doesn’t proceed for any reason outside your control, you won’t face the expense of our charges for dealing with your abortive transaction – you will only have to pay the disbursements that we have paid out on your behalf, such as search fees etc.
So what does this cost? Our normal ‘Affordable Homes’ conveyancing fee is only £445. If you wish to accept our ‘No Buy, No Fee Guarantee’ offer, it won’t cost you anything initially. However, if your sale or purchase transaction proceeds to completion, we will charge you an additional £50 over and above our normal charges. Even with this, the total fee payable is only £495. We think this is still very competitive. Please let us know what you think.
All fees quoted are plus VAT and disbursements.
